The program will betgin at 10 a.m. on the parade grounds in front of building 33 and will include a re-enactment of the handing over of the deed from the Department of the Army to the Veterans Bureau, sealing of a time-capsule, and tours of the historic grounds.

The history room will be open to the public, and will feature items that were used at the former Fort Roots hospital and Little Rock VA Hospital on Roosevelt Road, and memorabilia from the Fort Roots Army Cavalry training post.
