Curriculum Fair Set For HSUPublished Wednesday, November 12, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesHenderson State University's School of Education will hold its annual curriculum fair on Thursday, November 13, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Garrison Conference Center. The fair provides a program of current curriculum issues with outstanding presenters recognized for their expertise. Keynote speakers will be Ray Simon, the new appointed drector of the Arkansas Department of Education, Jodie Mahoney, Senator of Arkansas, Margaret Gammill, Gov. Mike Huckabee's liaison on Education and Telecommunication, Dr. Winston Simpson, superintend- ent of the Bryant School District and Dr. Joan Buttrum, deputy director of the Southwest Education Development Laboratory (SEDL) in Austin, Texas. Seminars on various topics will include, `The Role of Technology in Curriculum,' `Strategies from Increasing School Success,' and `Multiple Intelligences.' For more information, call 870-230-5126.
