We had a good attendance at Morris Baptist Sunday morning. Some stayed on for lunch and afternoon service. Service was made sad by news of the death of Mary Cross. Mary was a member at Morris.

I guess you noticed as I mentioned all our wonderful school teachers from this community. I failed to mention Cannon's wife, Heather Callicott. She started her school year at Hope.

We are also reminded that it's time for the grandparents program to start. Ann Loe and I went to Nevada each week last year and helped children with their reading. They could use some more volunteers. Anyone interested can contact Betty Turner in Prescott or come to Nevada September 8 at 11:00 a.m. I guess you really wouldn't have to be a grandparent to volunteer. They will also accept grandfathers.

Ken Karmel will be in New Mexico this week playing racquet ball.

Donna Smith has been on the ailing list this last week with high blood pressure.

Sam and Jane Bradshaw from Camden visited her parents, Junior and Ann Loe, Saturday. Junior and Ann were having some water problems and Junior was not feeling very well. He also visited his doctor last week.

Powell Cross is still on the seriously ill list.
