Ruby Vines celebrated her 85th birthday on August 12 with son and daughter-in-law, Morris and Carolyn, and daughter, Morine Butler, at the home of her granddaughter Tonya Vines Brown and her husband Barry in Dallas. She kept busy shopping and swimming. Carolyn and Morine enjoyed an extended visit taking in the Dallas Museum of Art and the musical 'Ragtime.'

Bro. Tom and June Stevens were away this weekend for a Helms family reunion at Russellville.

Mary Anna Dorman had her granddaughter for a few days visit and had her in church Beth and Brent Thomas' little one. Mary Anna goes to her doctor in Shreveport on Monday for tests. Good luck.

Ted and Carole Claus of San Antonio visited me for a few days.

Lillie Mae Phillips and Ruth Baker spent a few days in Dallas with their sister, Ruby Mullins.
