Open House Is Thursday For Local MerchantsBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, December 3, 1997 in the Nevada County Picayune Prescott merchants will host an open house for the Christmas season Thursday, Dec. 4, during regular business hours. According to Mary Godwin, executive director of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, refreshments will be served by some of the businesses during the open house, while others will have special sales. She said this is being done to give people the chance to come in and look at what's available in downtown Prescott before the festivities begin for Christmas on the Square. Prescott Hardware will be a place worth visiting during the open house. Along with refreshments, there will be food tasting done by the "pickled sisters." The "sisters" will be tasting such delicacies as iguana toes, toad cups, dinosaur dollops and, whatever this is, the red stuff. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
