Conservation Contracts ReadyPublished Wednesday, December 3, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesDavid Goodson of the Farm Service Agency (FSA) is providing the following information for producers who have farms with expire Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) contracts with acres that need to be enrolled in Production Flexibility Contracts (PFC) and the dates by which CRP reduction acres must be enrolled. If a producer requests a December 1997 advance PFC payment and a reconstitution is requested, then the reconstitution should have been requested by December 1, then all signed documentation must be received in the county office by December 23. If a producer requests a December 1997 advance PFC payment and a reconstitution is not requested and either of the following apply: CRP CAB reduction acres are not on the farm or CRP CAB reduction acres are present on the farm, but are not to be enrolled in PFC, then all producers sharing in the PFC payment must have signed PFC by December 1, and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by December 23, 1997. If a producer requests a December 1997 advance PFC payment and a reconstitution is not requested and CRP CAB reduction acres are on the farm and are to be enrolled in PFC then CRP CAB reduction acres must have been enrolled by December 1, 1997, by at least one producer sharing in the contract payment on the farm and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by December 23. If a producer requests a January 1998 advance PFC payment and a reconstitution is requested then the reconstitution must be requested by December 31, and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by February 13, 1998. If a producer requests a January 1998 advance payment and a reconstitution is not requested and either of the following apply: CRP CAB reduction acres are not on the farm or CRP CAB reduction acres are present on the farm, but are not to be enrolled in PFC then all producers sharing in PFC payment must sign PFC by December 31, 1997 and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by February 13, 1998. If a producer requests a January 1998 advance PFC payment and a reconstitution is not requested and CRP CAB reduction acres are on the farm and are to be enrolled in PFC then CRP CAB reduction acres must be enrolled by December 31 by at least one producer sharing in the contract payment on the farm and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by February 13. If a producer requests no advance payment and a reconstitution is requested then the reconstitution must be requested by June 1, 1998 and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by August 3, 1998. If a producer requests no advance payment and a reconstitution is not requested and either of the following apply: CRP CAB reduction acres are not on the farm or CRP CAB reduction acres are present on the farm, but are not to be enrolled in PFC then all producers sharing in the PFC payment must sign PFC by April 3, and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by August 3, 1998. If a producer requests no advance payment and a reconstitution is not requested and CRP CAB reduction acres are on the farm and are to be enrolled in PFC then CRP CAB reduction acres must be enrolled by April 3, by at least one producer sharing in the contract payment on the farm and all signed documentation must be received in the county office by August 3, 1998.
