We have lots to be thankful for this morning. Our granddaughter and her family's lives were spared through another tornado the one in Arkadelphia and the one Wednesday night in Malvern.

The death angel claimed the body of Roy Brown Wednesday morning. He was laid to rest Saturday in Piney Grove Cemetery under a blanket of beautiful flowers and near several loved ones. He was the last member of the John Brown family.

Teddy House of Paris, Texas, visited Everett Orren one day last week.

Doyle Everett, Hershel, Tommy and Kathleen Hooks visited Cathrine Hooks and Mae Blount Saturday and attended the funeral of their Uncle Roy Brown.

Those enjoying a fish supper with Jim and Jody Jester Sunday night were Bob and Lori Cummings, Amanda and Chance, Lisa and Lance Beaver Blake and Adam, Tim and Stacy Jester, Winderleen Jester and Bennie and Wilma Freeman of Gurdon.

Lenord and Faye House, Everett Orren and Adam Guthrie visited Thomas White of Gurdon Saturday. Thomas is on our sick list. Remember him in prayer.

Judy Jester took Winderleen Jester to Medical Park Hospital in Hope Monday for some tests.

Bro. Jerry Smith visited Alta and Chloe Orren Friday. Other visitors of Chloe were her son and wife and Shorty Garner.

Breanna Young is scheduled to have her tonsils removed Monday at Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Her grandparents, Pete and Cathryn Jester, went to Little Rock to be with her.

Don't forget the Ursery-Ridgell family reunion Sunday, September 5, at Prescott Housing community room, 401 Hale Avenue.

Those visiting Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas Saturday were Theresa and Jewel Grifford, their daughter, Denise Anderson, and Jason of Ashdown.
