Donations Are Needed For DriveBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, December 10, 1997 in the Gurdon Times As Christmas rapidly approaches, so does the need for donations for needy people, so they, too, can have happy holidays. The Gurdon Times food drive is still seeking donations of canned and dry goods to help area families have a brighter holiday season. Donations will be accepted until Thursday, Dec. 18, as the baskets will be put together and donated Saturday, Dec. 20. The goal of the food drive is to provide enough for a holiday dinner to as many families as possible. These families are currently being identified. Boxes have been placed at all three Gurdon schools and the Gurdon Times office. For more information, or to help with the drive, contact John Miller at (870) 887-2002, 353-4482 or 353-4368.
