Moore To Head Finance Dept.

David Moore will assume the newly created position of finance manager of Farm Bureau Insurance Companies at the end of the year in a promotion announced by Dennis Robertson, executive vice president of Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation.

Moore, 36, will fill a position vacated by Robert Duff Wallace, who had earlier been named to replace Sam Cooper as vice president and general ganager of Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. Wallace has held the title of accounting manager.

In addition to those responsibilities, Moore will also handle payroll, credit union, purchasing and investment portfolio. He has served as internal auditor for the companies since joining Farm Bureau in 1989.

Robertson also announced the hiring of Jeff Hall as safety coordinator and the promotion of Jody Urquhart as assistant safety coordinator for Farm Bureau. The two will primarily be responsible for conducting farm and home safety programs in schools and to civic and farm organizations across the state.

Hall earned a degree in animal science from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and was working as a technical advisor at the Pine Bluff Tyson plant prior to joining Farm Bureau. He and his wife, Kelly, live in Sheridan.

Urquhart joined Farm Bureau in July as assistant purchasing and supply agent in research and development prior to his promotion to the Federation staff position.

In another staff move, Robertson announced Dale Adcock will add the title of women's coordinator to her responsibilities as coordinator of educational programs for the federation.

Adcock has been with Farm Bureau since 1979, when she joined the staff as assistant safety director. She later served as safety director and from 1985-1994 was responsible for women's activities, ag in the classroom and the young farmers and ranchers program.
