Children at Nevada Elementary School shared their portfolios with their parents. Many classes had student-led conferences for the first grading period. Pictured is Cody Harding and his mom. The Nevada School bands held a Christmas concert Monday, December 15. The band experience starts in the sixth grade. Nevada had eight junior band members receive all-region honors. Pictured is M. Blake Epperson and the sixth grade band. The Nevada Elementary School kindergarten class presented a Christmas program while the first grade presented The Elf Factory on December 11. This is the kindergarten class at their Christmas music program. Some of the actors in the Nevada Elementary first grade Christmas program are, l-r, Brittany Aulds, Alex Campbell, Cassady Atkins and Shane Love. Albemarle chemist, George Ransford, shared the excitement of chemistry with children in grades 4-6 at Nevada Elementary School during National Chemistry Week.
