Laubach Tutor Training To Be Hosted by SWACDCPublished Wednesday, December 24, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneSouthwest Arkansas Developement Council Literacy Program will host another Laubach Tutor Training for all interested volunteers who want to be certified as reading tutors and help adult with basic skills. The workshop is FREE and will be hosted at the SWADC Literacy Program office in Prescott, January 5 and 6 from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. both days. Laubach Certification is a great resume builder as well as a wonderful opportunity to help others in your community to improve reading, writing and simple math skills. SWADC Literacy Program is open to all adults regardless of race, religion, nationality or handicap. Volunteer tutors are asked to meet with their adult students twice a week for approximately one hour, one and a hof hours each session at a secure, private tutoring room provided by SWADC.
