Rose Garden ClubPublished Wednesday, December 23, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Rose Garden Club met in the parlor of First United Methodist Church on December 15 at 1:30 p.m. Hostesses were Evelyn Daniel, Flo Brackman and Loyce McGill. President Betty Turner presided over the business session. Each member brought a basket filled with Christmas gifts, which were auctioned off in a silent auction. This was the money-making project for the year. Ann Pounds was in charge of the program. She asked each member to tell a special Christmas experienced in years past. Some members had brought treasurers from their childhood to share with the group. The members left with a feeling of nostalgia and were filled with the Christmas spirit.
