Nevada County Picayune and Gurdon Times Newspaper Archive |
RedlandHazel MeeksPublished Wednesday, December 23, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune If I had to guess, I'd say winter is here. Our sympathy to the Blue Avery family. Blue was a friend to everyone he met and will be missed. Twenty members of the young adult couples' class of Shady Grove Baptist Church enjoyed their Christmas party at the beautiful home of Laurie and Bobby Pilgreen on Friday night. Doyle Meeks and his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Werner Schmidt from Longview, Texas, visited us on Friday. Doug Haynie's daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jake Bridges from Rogers, spent several days with her grandmother, Glendene Haynie. Ann and Dale Wylie from Hope had Sunday night supper with her parents, Pershing and Mary Cox. I appreciate each one who encourages me to keep writing. Sometimes I almost give up. I would like to wish each of you a happy, safe and healthy Christmas. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
