BodcawPublished Wednesday, September 1, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneAline Claus This being a fifth Sunday most Baptist Churches in this area have youth day. This is when the young does the teaching, singing, etc. Then most have fellowship with lots of food. Union had lots of food, so they left it to eat again that night. Both Bodcaws received two members. A time of rejoicing. Norris Daniels went to Waldo on Saturday for a visit with Elsie Lewis. It is good to report that Bill Poindexter is home after surgery at a Texarkana hospital. They say he is doing fine. Remember him and all of our sick. Mary Poindexter is going for further tests. Etta Sanders is not doing very well. We always welcome visitors in our church. Be sure to come again. Jacob and Amanda Dorman were in church on Sunday night with Meme Mary Anne. I guess school got started in a big way. Haven't heard much about it. It is hot and dry to be in school. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
