The coronation, under the direction of Debbie White, will be held in the new high school gym on Highway 67 South Tuesday, October 26, at 7:00 p.m. This year's parade route will begin on First Street, near city hall. The parade will form on Maple Street and then turn left on First. It will go to Walnut, where it will turn left and continue to Third, where it will turn and go beside the Sonic. When it reaches Main, it will turn right and continue back to First. It will turn left at First State Bank onto South First and then left again on Joslyn, where it will disband. Those wanting to pick anyone up from the parade may do so on the post office parking lot. Go-Devil Field will host its first homecoming game October 29. Field ceremonies will begin at 7:00 p.m. The GHS Student Council invites all businesses, churches and organizations to sponsor a float or a decorated vehicle for competition or advertisement. The entry fee for competition is $10 for a float and $5 for a vehicle. There is no charge for entering the parade for advertisement. Interested parents should call the high school office at 870-353-5123 before October 27 to insure a place in the line-up. The GHS Student Council asks your help to make the last homecoming of this century the best yet as the students enter the new millennium in the new school facilities.
