Club NotesPublished Wednesday, February 4, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Nevada County Extension Clubs met Friday, January 23, for a work day. There were ten members present. The ladies brought sewing machines and fabrics, needles, thread and quilt patterns. There were much chatter, laughter and fellowship during the day. They each are making blocks for another quilt to be given away during the Nevada County Fair in September. The members present were Marie McNeedy, Margarite Tomlin, Helen Morris, Huey Shewix, Ann Loe, Hattie Sandifer, Geraldine Jefferson, Annie Fears, Joy Cox, Ruby Wicker and Candice Carrie. The clubs plan to have at least one work day each month. They hope to make 1998 a successful year. If any of the homemakers want to join one of the clubs call 887-2818.
