Zane H. VanderburgPublished Wednesday, May 13, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneZane H. Vanderburg, 70, of Rosston died Monday, May 4 at his home. Mr. Vanderburg was born February 11, 1928, in Lamar County, Texas, to James Adam and Martha Elma Coble Vanderburg. He was a retired steel worker/crane operator from Armco Steel after 26 years of service. He was a member of the Falcon Church of Christ a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a former fire chief of Cloverleaf, Texas, former Boy Scout Master, former member of the YMCA in Houston, Texas, and a member of the Bodcaw Fire Department. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Lee Vanderburg; two brothers, Walter Thomas Venderburg and Julius Edward Vanderburg; and one sister, Johnnie Iris Vanderburg. Survivors include his wife, Ella A. Vanderburg of Rosston; one son, James Adam Vanderburg of San Saba, Texas; one daughter, Rosemary McGee of Rosston; two brothers, C.B. Vanderburg of Texarkana, Texas, and W.L. Vanderburg of Houston; two sisters, Naoma Guinn of Livingston, Texas, and Pruda Wilson of Abilene, Texas, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, May 7, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Cecil Hartsell officiating. Burial was in Falcon Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
