BoughtonMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, May 13, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Sue Austin returned home Tuesday night from a tour in the Virgin Islands. This tour was a birthday gift from her sister, Peggy Roper. She was accompanied by Patsy Holder. They both reported having a wonderful time. Ruth Jones and Harold White visited Lenord and Faye House Thursday. Mary and Everett Orren spent a few days vacationing and sightseeing in Tennessee. They went to Crossville, Tenn., and then they went to the Natchez Trace Parkway in the Smokey mountains, then to Oak Ridge, Tenn., visiting the Sgt. York monument and other points of interest. Sue Austin spent Wednesday and Thursday night with her children, Mike Belle and Dawn Rudd, of Camden. Agatha Cowart spent Saturday night with her mother, Annie Mae Hooks, and her husband Lyndon went to Little Rock to visit their grandson Grant Golden. He had a motorcycle accident Friday and broke his leg and collarbone. He is in the hospital. He hopes to come home Monday. Diane Blankenship and Angie Copeland spent Sunday with Annie Mae Hooks and attended church with her. Elsie Elmore spent a week with Katie Pittman. Irene Riley has sold her home and moved to Texas with her sister, Patsy Shope. Courtney Jackson spent a few days in the Children's Hospital in Little Rock, but she came home Friday. Those having dinner with Cathryn and Pete Jester and Jimmy Joe Sunday were Darlene Young, Bobby and Breanna, Mrs. Helen Young, Denise Jackson, Theresa and Courtney and a friend, Barbara Page, and her four children. All of the children of Cathrine Hooks Doyle Everett Hershel, Tommy, Danny and Kathleen spent the weekend with their mother. Danny is spending awhile at home before going to Panama. Mae Blount spent the weekend with her son, Benny, and his family. Kelsey and Kay Wren spent Saturday night with Doris Ridgell. Kelsey helped fix mamaw's Mother's Day breakfast. Kay and Joe Wren, Paul and Robin Ridgell, Herbie Ridgell and Angie Wren had Mother's Day dinner with Doris. Robert Orren had dinner with his great grandmother, Chloe Orren, Saturday and helped her clean some on her floors.
