Tennis Duo Takes State TitleBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, May 13, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune Prescott High School has another yet another class AA state title. The girls double tennis team, Stacy Stockton and Traci Graham, recently brought back home this coveted crown by whipping Pulaski Academy in the finals by a score of 6-3, 6-4. Stockton and Graham were undefeated through the regular tennis season, and breezed through the district and regional tournaments almost unchallenged. In the first round of the state tourney, they blanked Piggott 6-0, 6-0, round two saw this dynamic duo make Beebe another victim by the same score, 6-0, 6-0. Next on the list in the semi-final game was Atkins. This pair fell 6-0, 6-4, setting up the match with Pulaski Academy. The overall state tournament will be played Saturday, May 16, at Fairfield Bay, but who the tandem of Graham and Stockton will face is not yet known.
