The Young Circuit First Quarterly Conference will be held the first Sunday in February at New Salem A.M.E. Church. Our budget rally will be held this month at New Bethel A.M.E. Church.

I have been on the sick list for about a week.

Mrs. Edna Kelly visited George and me last week and brought us some goodies. She is a down to earth person.

One of our members of our church sent us a plate of cake. It was really good.

Sis. Gloria Young is our pianist at the Church. Our pastor, Rev. Lessly Banks, and his wife stopped by and had prayer. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Toney stopped by our house. He had been to Hope to visit his sister and brother. We were glad to see them. He is a very busy man.

Sis. Johnnie Marsh and Sis. Ardell Johnson visited us one evening. Sis. Vera Purifoy stopped today from church. She went to Dallas, Texas, to visit her sister, Mrs. Lupo, and her family. She said she really did have a nice time. Her brother-in-law, Rev. Lupo, picked her up. They are really nice to her.

Our nephew, Freddie Dixon, and his wife, Margaret, came down Friday night and brought us some deer meat. His wife killed it. It was her first deer.

Bracey Tidwell's son was buried in Barksdale Cemetery Friday, January 2.

Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Gulley's house burned down Friday. They lost everything they had.
