Golden OldiesPublished Wednesday, January 7, 1998 in the Gurdon Timesby Doris Vance The Gurdon Senior Adult Center was happy to have the Gurdon Red Cross drive on December 30. The donors all received T-shirts and Coke. Donors are greatly needed as the blood bank is in short supply. The seniors would like to once again thank all those who brought gifts and fruit for our homebound. The center appreciates the community's interest. Today, Wednesday, January 7, Sally Johnson will be at the center to bring us up to date on the rights we deserve when entering or staying at a hospital. The public is invited to attend and find out what you should know before your next hospital visit. The center is having chair aerobics at 12:30 and regular aerobics at 3:00 p.m. on each Tuesday of the month. Dr. Frank Teed will provide free eye screening at the center January 8. We thank Dr. Teed's office for supplying this service for the community. The monthly board meeting will be January 11. We will have a guest from the Waymack Animal Hospital on January 19. The center members are really enjoying themselves, visiting with their friends and making new ones. Come out and enjoy the fun, good food and fellowship. The center is a United Way Agency.
