College NewsPublished Wednesday, January 14, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesJohn Anderson has been named to the president's list for the 1997 fall semester at Central Baptist College in Conway. To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled full time and earn a grade point average of 4.000. Anderson is the son of Edward and Kathy Anderson of Gurdon. He is a 1996 graduate of Gurdon High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gurdon. He is a sophomore pursuing an associate of arts degree in science. Glen Shults has also been named to the president's list for the 1997 fall semester at Central Baptist College. Shults is the son of Louis and Mary Schults of Pea Ridge. He is a 1978 graduate of Choudrant High School in Louisiana. Presently, he is pastor of New Caney Baptist Church in Gurdon.
