On October 19 the members of Rose Garden Club enjoyed a day at DeGray State Park near Arkadelphia.

The group took a large tour of the lake, where an eagle was sighted. They returned to the lodge for a program on eagles and other birds of prey. They had lunch in the dining area overlooking the lake.

On October 17 several of the members drove to Camden to attend the Camden Garden Club Flower Show, which was held in the home of Mary White. The home was built in 1896 and was beautifully decorated with lovely arrangements entered by the members of the Camden club.

After viewing the home and flower show the group was invited into the dining area for a lovely tea. The tea table held an assortment of finger foods along with punch and coffee.

On October 21 Betty Turner and Flo Brackman attended the southwest district meeting of the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs, which was held in Texarkana at St. James Episcopal Church.

Pat Haering presented the program demonstrating several arrangements using the theme Autumn Splendor. She shared many tips and ideas on design.

Following the meeting the group enjoyed a tour of the Draughon-Moore Ace of Clubs House located at 420 Pine Street. The home was built in 1885 and is most interesting to tour.
