Oak Grove NewsPublished Wednesday, January 14, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneA service for George Spencer Ivory was held Saturday, January 10, at St. James A.M.E. Church in Camden with Rev. Randolph Martin, pastor. The eulogy was by Rev. N.C. Irving with interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Camden. A Steward Rally was held at New Bethel A.M.E. Church Sunday. Rev. Chester Ford brought a beautiful sermon and his choir, from St. Vernon A.M.E. Church, sang so beautiful. His people really go with him. Mrs. Margie Johnson was able to be at church Sunday afternoon after having an operation on her heart. She is really doing good. We are asking all alumni of Oak Grove to meet at the former Oak Grove Elementary building for the reunion in August. Please tell all alumni to come and meet with us.
