Herbert MeadorPublished Wednesday, January 14, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneJohnie Herbert Meador, 85, of El Dorado, died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in Hillsboro Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Meador was born October 45, 1912, in Bluff City. He was a retired oil and gas supervisor with J.W. Operating Company and a member of El Dorado Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John Henry Meador and Johnie Mae Pierce Meador and a brother, Roy Meador. Survivors include his wife, Virginia F. Meador of El Dorado; two sons, Danny Meador of Wake Village, Texas, and Freddie Meador of Junction City; one daughter Vickie Evans of El Dorado; one brother, Roland Meador of Bauxite and six grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, January 10, at El Dorado Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ronald Whitlock and Rev. Charles Kellar officiating.
