Arlene Almand

Arlene Almand, 81, of Prescott, died Thursday, January 15, 1998, at her home.

Mrs. Almand was born October 17, 1916, in Nevada County to Jerry S. and Alta Evans Thompson. She was a housewife and a member of Laneburg Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Juanita Lewis.

Survivors include two sons, Ed Almand of Chino, Calif., and James Almand of Prescott; two daughters, Sue Phillips of Bodcaw and Kathy Glass of Center Ridge; four brothers, Tillmon Thompson of Laneburg, J.Y. Thompson of Stephens, Vernon Thompson of Laneburg and Donald Thompson of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Geneva Cottingham of Prescott and Mary Helen Hollis of Waldo; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, January 18, at Laneburg Baptist Church with Rev. David Hampton and Rev. Eric Barbaree officiating. Burial was in Laneburg Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
