Box Seeks ElectionPublished Wednesday, January 21, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayunePam Box has announced that she will be a candidate for Nevada County Tax Assessor. She is a 1982 graduate of Prescott High School. Upon graduation she attended Henderson State University for four years. Box has been employed with the assessor's office since 1995. She has been the chief deputy assessor for the past year. She has been certified through ACD (Assessment Coordination Division) for all levels, which includes administrative/res- idential and commercial appraising along with mapping, personal property and commercial property assessing. She feels that these qualifications and her experience qualifies her for this position. She is married to Ronald Box and has two children, Megan, 8, and Jalan, 5. Her parents are Willie Stafford Smith of Kansas, Mo., and Bobbie George of Prescott. Box is an active member of Munn's Chapel Baptist Church, where she serves as the secretary of the usher board committee and works diligently with the youth program. She is an active member of Prescott's Parents and Teachers as Partners at Prescott Elementary School. "Your vote and support, will be greatly appreciated," she said in a prepared statement.
