Otwell Seeks ReelectionPublished Wednesday, January 21, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneNevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell announces his intention to seek reelection to this office. Otwell thanks everyone for electing him sheriff in the November 1996, general election and for helping him during the primary elections in May as well as the runoff in June, 1996. "Knowing the majority of the voters in this great county came out three times in the same year to make sure the person they wanted as their sheriff was elected is an extremely humbling experience for me and my administration," he said, "and we have worked very hard not to forget it, and have done our best to live up to the commitments we have made. "Because of your trust," he continued, in me, and my love for the people of Nevada County, I am asking you to reelect me for another term.
