Eagle Day Is Set At DeGray State Park

DeGray Lake Resort State park will host the 19th annual Eagles Et Cetera January 23, 24 and 25.

Activities will feature the American bald eagle, as well as other birds of prey, such as owls, hawks and vultures. Guided bird walks, owl prowls, lake tours to see bald eagles and waterfowl and evening presentations will keep visitors busy for the weekend.

Registration will begin at 4 p.m., Friday January 23 at the DeGray State Park Lodge. Programs conclude at noon on Sunday, January 25.

Guest speakers include falconer Howard Davis, avid birder Don Simons, and the Little Rock Zoo.

Lake tour tickets are $5.50 for adults (over 12) and $2.75 for kids 6-12 years old. All other programs are free to park guests.

Registration is required for lake tours, owl prowls and bird walks since trips are limited to a certain number of participants. Bring binoculars for better viewing.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park is located six miles north of I-30 at Caddo Valley (exit 78).
