Eunice C. HuffmanPublished Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesEunice E. Huffman, age 81 of Okolona died Tuesday, January 20, 1998 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born November 14, 1914 in Okolona, the daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie NcNeal Harwell. She was a retired teacher's aide at the Okolona and Gurdon Public Schools and a member of the Okolona Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold (Peck) Huffman and one son, James Arnold Huffman. Survivors include, one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Eddie Wells of Sherwood; two grandsons, Michael Wells of Walnut Ridge and Alan Wells of Sherwood; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 1998 at the Center Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland and Rev. Johnny Jackson. Interment was in the Center Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Murry- Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorial may be made to the Gurdon Senior Citizen Center.
