The contest will end just before Valentine's Day. Betty Fancher was at Gurdon Senior Adult Center on January 21. She has a business in Hot Springs which sell items to help people who are handicapped or have arthritis cope with better life. Monday was monthly birthday party day. Those with birthdays in January are William Fortner, Henry Bell, Grady Gimbal, Nell Gober, Glendean Beard, Ann Boyce, Mary Horton, Roy Easley, Bernice Gentle, Neil Horne, Norman Hansen, Bill Logan, Lottie Rogers, Ruby McClure, and Dr. George Peeples. Memorials have been given to the center in honor of Gene Glover and Georgia Haltom. Our love and prayers are with Gladys Sherman, who is ill, and Sybil Harris, who has had surgery. We also send sympathy to the Huffman family, who lost their loved one. The January council meeting was Tuesday, January 27. It seems as if the month of January has flown by.
