Club NewsPublished Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesThe Whelen Springs Extension Homemakers Club met Thursday, January 22, with seven members present. Roll call was answered with "Where is your will?" Several members had their will drawn up and safely tucked away. After Nedra Williams presented the lesson on how to manage your estate and wills, several others decided it was time to make their wills also. Mrs. Betty Robbins won the door prize. Mrs. Gail Hughes brought her friendship quilt top, each member signed their names on a block. Nedra Williams read the book Loving You Forever, by Robert Munsch for the devotional. The club's next meeting will be on February 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of East Whelen Springs Church. The program will be on Genealogy: Finding Your Roots. An invitation is extended to anyone wishing to join an Extension homemaker's club or anyone who would like to spend the afternoon with the club.
