Tucker Seeks Reelection As Clark County SheriffPublished Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesClark County Sheriff Troy Tucker announces his intention to seek reelection for the office in the May 19 Democratic Primary. Tucker, a life-long resident of Clark County, currently living in Arkadelphia, served as a sergeant and criminal investigator with the Arkadelphia Police Department before first being elected as sheriff. One such example is the computerization of all records at the Clark County Sheriff's Office, which began three months ago. "While great strides have been made to combat our continued drug problem," he said, "I still foresee this as our most pressing issue, and pledge to continue our fight to keep our communities safe and drug free." Tucker gave praise to those working in his department, saying those with the CCSO are among the best in the state. "We are here to serve our county residents," he said, "and I hope the people feel they are getting good service from the department." Tucker is married to the former Kim Neel.
