Caney NewsPublished Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneCoy and Grace Callicott visited this week with daughter, Ola Grace, and her family in Colt. They went to West Memphis Tuesday with Ola's daughter to visit her doctor. J.W. and Maxine Glass went to Fayetteville Saturday to see the Razorbacks play. This was a late Christmas present arranged by daughter Karen Jobe. Karen and daughter, Sarah, also went to the game. They met Maxine's brother, Freddie, and his wife, Carol, from Oklahoma and all had seats in the Coca-Cola suite. They also saw the Lady Razorbacks play. J.W. went to Texarkana Monday to have laser treatment on his eyes. Bro. J.C. and Betty Bryant visited Junior and Ann Loe Sunday afternoon. Happy birthday for me and I'm not telling which one. All my children and grandchildren except Chris Sweat came down and went to church with me. After church we all went home with Don, Janice and Robert for lunch. Chris was with his fianc making plans for a June Wedding. Dennis Hicks is on a two-week vacation. He met friends in Dallas and they flew to Montana for fun in the snow. The Tucker families have all had the flu virus. Matt Tinsley is still working in Austin, Texas, and Karina Tinsley is working in Waldo. Betty McBride has also had the flu and is having trouble ridding herself of it. Hope everyone is feeling better. Thought: Knowledge has never been known to enter through an open mouth.
