Boughton News

So much of my news is bad news. Herbie Ridgell spent some time in St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. Roy Brown spent several days in Wadley Hospital in Texarkana. Mildred White is in St. Michael in Texarkana. Lela House is in St. Michael in Texarkana. They are running tests on her and she is seriously ill. Herbie and Roy are home.

Agatha Cowart and Diana Stark of Idabelle, Okla., spent Friday night with Annie Mae Hooks. They honored Anne Mae with a birthday supper at Catfish King in Hope. Others enjoying this occasion were Gaywin and Gary Golden and Diane Blankenship.

Congratulations to Jill Johnson and Dustin Blankenship. They were married Saturday at the Methodist Church in Prescott with a beautiful service.

Willie Hugh and Carolyn Hooks of Hot Springs brought KFC dinner Tuesday and ate dinner and supper with us. The men folks went squirrel hunting Tuesday afternoon.

Doris Ridgell, Katie Pittman and Sue Austin brought us a delicious supper Thursday night. Hazel Meeks baked a delicious pie. We get a piece of pie all along. We appreciate it all.

We extend our sympathy to Joe Heath over the death of his mother. Joe and Lucy and their son Joe attended her funeral in Macon, Ga., last week.

Bro. Larry Bloomfall preached at Boughton Church Sunday. Attendance was good.

Doris Ridgell had dinner Saturday with Katie Pittman and Sue Austin. Olgia and Terrell Ingersoll and Peggy Burdue visited them on Sunday afternoon.

Sammy and Lauren House spent Sunday with Lenord and Faye House.

Carolyn Hooks and Doris Well brought hamburgers and ate supper with us Sunday night.

We enjoyed having Neil and Hazel Meeks come over after church and watched the last half of the superbowl game with us. We all rooted for the Broncos.

Pray for our United States since what is happening, whether true or false, is a disgrace to our nation.
