Dan Hopson

Dan Hopson, 72, of Prescott died Monday, January 19, 1998, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

Mr. Hopson was born April 8, 1925, in Laneburg, to Joe and Ruthene Anthony Hopson. He was retired from Firestone in Prescott, and a member of Mt. Ephsus Baptist Church in Prescott.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Charles Hopson of Prescott; five sons, Elder Will Dan Hopson Jr., of Richmond, Calif., Joe Lee Hopson of Prescott; Roy Chester Hopson of Wichita, Kan., Harold Albert Hopson of Hope and Deacon Wallace Earl Hopson of Prescott; five daughters, Josephine Henderson of Prescott, Ada Margaret Robinson of Carthage, Janice Marie Haynes of Wichita, Kan., Carolyn Jeanette Hawthorne of Gurdon and Jo Ann Hopson of Prescott; two brothers, Oscar Hopson of Prescott and Joe Ben Hopson; three sisters, Queen Mixon of Little Rock, Olivia Spearman of Richmond, Calif., and Beulah Hughes of San Diego, Calif.; and 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, January 24, at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott with Rev. Fred Walters officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott under the arrangements of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
