Angels Help 110

Published Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Nevada County Picayune

The Christmas Angel Tree Program, which was sponsored by Department of Human Services (DHS), succeeded in helping 110 need children have a merrier Christmas. Numerous individuals, clubs and churches bought Christ-mas presents and food for the angels.

Kelly Bair of Beverly Health and Rehab Center and Chad Cornelius of Nevada County Ambulance Service worked together to obtain food for food baskets. They donated 65 sacks of food which were distributed to needy families throughout the county by DHS employees.

The Prescott Swamprider Motorcycle Club brought toys to the DHS office for distribution. They came to the office on their motorcycles with Gil Johnson as Santa Claus leading the club.
