Rose Garden ClubPublished Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Rose Garden Club met in the home of Barbara Stewart on January 20, with Ida Haynie as co-hostess. President Betty Turner presided over the business meeting. A committee was appointed to make plans for making Easter baskets to adorn the entrance of the nursing homes during Easter week. The president suggested that each member plant a tree in observance of Arbor Day on March 16. Ida Haynie presented the program on 'Growing House Plants.' She gave the members many useful ideas on using house plants to decorate their homes and how to group them in the home. She presented each member with water absorbing crystals to add to the plants to help keep them watered. The hostesses served a delicious dessert to the 14 members present. Bobbie Miner and Loyce McGill brought a lovely arrangement. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
