Karen Cobb Enters Race For TreasurerPublished Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneKaren Cobb has announced her candidacy for Nevada County Treasurer. She is a life-long resident of Nevada County. Cobb has been married to David Cobb for 18 years. He is employed with Diversified Drilling Company of El Dorado. She was employed at Nevada County Supply for over 11 years. "My job at the Nevada County Supply gave me the opportunity to meet and serve many of you personally," she said in a prepared news release. Cobb is a member of Missionary Baptist Church. She has just completed a college keyboarding class at the University of Arkansas Community College in Hope. "I plan to continue taking computer courses in the summer and fall," she said. "Your vote and support will be greatly appreciated," the release said.
