Westmoreland Seeks Tax Assessor's PostPublished Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneJUDY WESTMORELAND Judy Westmoreland has announced her intentions to file for the office of Nevada County Tax Assessor in the upcoming Democratic Primary Election. Westmoreland, daughter of Jodie and Maye Waddle, is a lifelong resident of Nevada County. She grew up in the Laneburg community. She is a 1969 graduate of Prescott High School and attended Southern Arkansas University, Texarkana College and University of Arkansas Community College at Hope. She is a member of Prescott First Methodist Church, were she serves on the administrative council. Westmoreland is the mother of a 24-year-old daughter, April, of Ft. Myers, Fla. Westmoreland is well known for the 13 years of service as Nevada County librarian and has been employed by the city of Prescott for the past five years. She is proud to be a native of Nevada County and looks forward to talking to the citizens of the county during the course of her campaign, and would appreciate their support, she said in a prepared statement.
