Changes Made To Picayune

Beginning with this week's issue of the Nevada County Picayune, readers will find some changes in their local newspaper.

Letters to the editor as well as opinion columns will appear in each edition as available.

This week's paper also sees the return of the old Nevada County Courthouse photo to the front page as part of the newspaper's flag.

Photos from the past started appearing in editions two weeks ago and will continue as long as readers keep bringing photos into our office. Any photos brought in can be picked up on Wednesdays, the week they run in the newspaper.

Columnists at this time will include publisher Ricky Ragsdale and news editor John Miller. Guest columnists will appear from time to time.

Letters to the editor guidelines require the writer's name to be included (printed or typed) as well as a signature and the writer's telephone number. We will publish all names with letters but not the telephone numbers. No names will be withheld.

If letters to the editor are received without a name and signature, they will be immediately trashed and not considered for publication.

The newspaper reserves the right to refuse letters to the editor for publication for any reason and it reserves the right to edit them for length.

No letters or columns that are faxed to us will be accepted, but they must be hand delivered or mailed to P.O. Box 60 in Prescott.
