Scholarship EarnedPublished Wednesday, February 4, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesDonald Benson of Gurdon has been named a Presidential Scholar at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway for the fall term. To be named a scholar, Benson had to compile a perfect 4.00 grade point average while enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours. Benson is majoring in physics. In all there were 532 students named scholars, which represents 6.7 percent of UCA's undergraduate enrollment.
