Otis CostinPublished Wednesday, February 11, 1998 in the Gurdon TimesOtis Costin, 75, of Gurdon died Friday, February 6, 1998. He was a self-employed carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife Christine Costin of Joan; two daughters, Shirley DeHaven of Gurdon and Sandra Ballard of Hot Springs; a stepdaughter, Julie Whitworth; two brothers, Carl Costin of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Bill Costin of Tallahassee, Fla.; one sister, Pansey Spruges of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
