Oak GroveLula Q. KendrickPublished Wednesday, October 27, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Flowers are still pretty. Our lives is just like flowers. Here today and gone tomorrow. I attended the funeral of Hollis Ingram last Thursday at St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City. Rev. Wallace Ingram, father, did the eulogy. It was just beautiful. The Gospel Four sang his favorite song, 'Time Won't Be No More.' Bro. Hollis really loved to sing. He was a very nice person. His pastor was Rev. James F. William. Sympathy goes out to the entire family. Our annual conference will begin Wednesday night and end October 31. Sunday Gina Burnell was taken out of the hospital in Hope and is now in Beverly Health Care in Prescott for therapy. She is doing fine at the present time. She will be home soon. Let's pray for the sick and shut in. Mrs. Vera Purifoy and I went to Hope last week shopping. Mrs. Judy Smith made a wonderful speech at the Civic League building Saturday night. She is a wonderful speaker and a very good person. She sees people as people. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
