Reception Is PlannedPublished Wednesday, February 11, 1998 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce has announced a new service for area residents. The chamber office will manage a monthly calendar of community events. This service will be provided to keep area citizens abreast of up-coming events. The community event calendar is open to the public. There will be no charge to list events on the calendar, however, according to a news release, the chamber reserves the right to refuse any inappropriate event. Deadline for information to be turned in will be the 20th of the previous month. If you wish to have an event placed on the calendar, simply call or come by the Partnership office at 116 East Second, or call the chamber at 887-2101. Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
