I have changed the title of the news, so I could cover the Pleasant Hill, Nubbin Hill and Fairview area.

It is good to hear that Doris Burke is home from the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Her sister, Mary Lou Nivens, of Blevins is staying with her.

Don and Seth Collins had a visitor from Hawaii this week. Bruce Barrett, who Don had met at camp, came to do a little hunting.

Congratulations to Terry and Shawn Hawkins, Tori Nicole was born Thurs., Oct. 14. She weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces.

Joyce Tyree lost her mother, Glendene Haynie, who lived in the Shady Grove area. Remember that family in your prayers.

Adam McKinnon was proud of his kill Saturday. He got a 9-pointer. Way to go, Adam. J.D. Sampson spent time with his Dad, James, over the weekend.

Eva Jones had to go to the hospital Wednesday after suffering from mini strokes.

Tony Overton finally scored Sunday morning by killing a nice 8-pointer. I think he was more proud of the shot he put on the deer than the number of points.

Henry Stewart celebrated his 83rd birthday. Ruby and Tom Fontaine visited with him. Others visiting were his step-daughter Carlet Jones, Johnny Stewart, Louise Walker, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Roy and Wanda Stewart from Benton visited with Tom and Ruby Fontaine. Julie Huntley traveled to Abilene, Texas, due to the loss of her father, Gene Johnson.

Al Formby and Kim Overton visited with her grandparents, J.W. and Maxine Glass, Sunday afternoon.

Barney Harris Jr. from Gainesville, Fla., and sister, Shelby, and Donald Avery all spent time at the old Carter place along with other family members.

Aaron Morton went to McCaskill to hunt with his dad over the weekend. He said he left the meat in the woods. In other words, he missed. Better lucky next time, Aaron.

George Cornelius and Karen and David Cobb went to the community united benefit dinner Saturday at Oak Grove Daycare Center. They enjoyed a good meal and gospel music.

You all have a safe and wonderful week.
