Junior and Ann Loe were voted King and Queen of Hearts. About 16 youths worked very hard and the adults are appreciative of their thoughtfulness Ann Loe, Mary Reeves, Margaret Barham of Cale and I attended the reception for Rex Dollar, our new county agent, Friday. Cannon and Heather Callicott took a Valentine's vacation to Broken Bow, Okla., and back through Hot Springs, where they spent the night at the Sun Bay Resort. They returned home Saturday. Sunday lunch guests at the home of J.W. and Maxine Glass were Karen and Sarah Jobe, Barb and Aaron Morton, Kim Overton, Steve, Deb and Cody Jackson, Dee Jarvis, Tom Cornelius, Marsha Nowlin, and Pat, Tim and Leah McCullough. Karen and Sarah, Barb, Aaron, Tom, Steve, Deb, Cody and Dee visited our church Sunday morning. The Jackson family united with Morris Baptist Church and will be baptized next Sunday morning. Appreciate Maxine Glass for her help (gathering news) this week and she would like to say "Hello, Cuz" to the Loe sisters our cousins in Texas, who faithfully read the Picayune. Sick folks are improving. Powell Cross had surgery on his lung and is doing alright. He is in ICU in Texarkana. Vada Mathis had gallbladder surgery and is out of the hospital. Larry and Nancy Rhodes of Hot Springs visited his mother, Ritta Rhodes McBride, last weekend. Nancy's mother, Abbie Tutle, came with them and was the house guest of Dorothy Apel. Travis and Lifton Cearley and Junior and Ann Loe attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of Herbert and Sally Chambless Sunday afternoon at Western Sizzlin in Hope. Don and Peggy Fain of Camden visited her parents, Junior and Ann Loe, Saturday. Bro. Junior and Ann Loe attended funeral services for Mattie Wesson Wednesday at Laneburg Baptist Church.
