Last week's news (it went around the world again before getting to Prescott):

I see a beautiful red bird peeking in the window at me. Do you think he is saying "Spring is hear!"? Blue birds have also been around.

Betty Carlton, Morine Butler, Earlene Butler and Mary Johnson from Prescott went on the Francis Tours of Bill Gaither singers in Fort Worth this weekend. They reported a great time.

Shane Nix was in church as were several other visitors. We are always glad to have you.

Peggy Butler was at home this weekend visiting dad, Alvin Butler.

Warren Almand is doing better and likes to get out a little on sunny days. He wants to come to Union to church when he feels like it.

I talked to Thomas Silvey. He is doing fair. He had two Hamm girls, Mary Lou and Marie to visit him. He is always glad to see anyone from Bodcaw area visit him.

I had a call from Marselle Horton King from Houston, Texas, and we had a long visit. She gets to thinking of people she used to know or go to school with and she asks questions about those times and people.

Little Raci Poindexter has been in a Texarkana hospital with Pneumonia. Hayden Poindexter was in church Sunday with grand-parents, Jewel and Mary.

The youth of our church served cake and other refreshments on Sunday night for Valentine's. It was real neat. The boys seated the ladies then served us. A good time and also good food was enjoyed.

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day to all of you.
