I guess this is what I get for thinking spring was here. Now, my animals and I are all loading in the boat.

Nell and Howard McDaniel from Monroe, La., spent the weekend with Jackie and Frances Bidwell.

Thais and John McLelland spent Thursday in Bossier City, La., seeing Mrs. McLelland's doctor.

Leona Ballard and I visited Willie and Evelyn Hooks on Saturday night. Leona was a good Samaritan and carried food and I just rode along.

Randy, Drew and Tyler Avery from Rogers and Pete Avery visited George and Joy Cox on Sunday. Oh, yeah, don't forget Caley.

Shady Grove Baptist Church is happy to welcome our new pastor and his family. He is Mike Taylor. His wife's name is Pam. They have a daughter, Kristen, and son, Andy. They live in Gurdon.

Clark Crellin is on a business trip to Phoenix, Ariz. While he is away his wife, Myla, is celebrating a birthday. Oh, my lordy, could it be 40? Don't think so.

Jerry, Rhonda and Justin Hillery honored their son and brother, Cole, on his 11th birthday with a cookout and spending the night at the deer camp. Those attending were Brody Joyce, Lane Wilson, Ben Hale, Trevor Hunt, Caleb McClure and Cody Brown.

Polly Philips was honored with a surprise birthday party on Friday night. Those attending were Paul, Kim, Trent and Katy Cox, James, Colton and Benny Phillips and her mother, Marie Adair.

Trent Cox spent Friday night with Kyle Pennington.

Caley Pennington visited Sarah Booker on Sunday.
