District Tilt Is Underway

It's tourney time in Prescott this week.

The 7AA District Tournament is being held at the Prescott High School gym, much to the delight of Wolf and Wolverette fans.

Action in the district tilt opened Monday with Bismarck and Fouke meeting at 6:20 p.m. in senior girls play.

The boys side of the bracket pitted Nashville against Bismarck at 5 o'clock, while Prescott and Fouke tangled at 7:40. The results were not available at press time.

Wednesday opens with a 5 p.m. game as the Scrapperettes meet the Fordyce Lady Redbugs. The lone boys game will feature De Queen against the Nashville-Bismarck winner. The final game of the night pits Fountain Lake against either Bismarck or Fouke.

From there the teams get a break until Friday, and then their luck runs out. Starting at 5 p.m. the Lady Leopards of De Queen will meet Wednesday's winner in the 7:40 p.m. game.

At 6:20 p.m. Fountain Lake's senior boys will meet the winner of the Wednesday bracket with De Queen.

Once this game has concluded, the Wolverettes hit the floor at 7:40, tangling with either Nashville or Fordyce.

Action ends Friday night at 9 o'clock with Fordyce meeting the survivor of the Prescott-Fouke tilt.

The tournament ends Saturday, with the contest for third starting at 4 p.m. for the girls and 5:20 for the boys. The girls' final will be played at 6:40, while the boys will finish up with an 8 p.m. game.
